MEET OUR 2009 CUTEST BABY IN A BEANIE

Jasmine Gunn

Contratulations to 2 1/2 year old Jasmine Gunn who was voted this years cutest "Baby in a Beanie"
We had a wonderful day at MissChiefmaker at Rodney's Nursery yesterday. The sun was shining, there were lots of families, face painting, animal baloon making, a sausage sizzle and the final judging for the competition. So far we have raised $1500 for the Intensive Care Foundation - the final tally will be known in 3 weeks.

A huge Thank You to our judges, Julie Samaras from Canberra Weekly, Jenny Tiffen from Fitmums Canberra, Kate Dawson - MissChief Maker, Peter Cursley from the Intensive Care Foundation and Tania McCartney - Local author. We all found it very difficult to make the final decision - there were too many cuties! I would especially like to thank Katie Dawson from MissChief Maker who ran the competition with me - without her help I couldn't of done it - Thanks Katie!

I would also like to thank the following people/business who donated their time and/or prizes for the competition.

Nessa the Fairy (Magical Realms Children's Entertainment)
Jo Grady (Impressionable Kids)
Cate Hale (Phoenix Trading)
Hellenic Club of Canberra
Stacy Black (Leigh Steele Handbags)
Little Sprout (Educational Children’s Toys)
Jai Dawson (Chalker's Crossing Wines)
Rachelle Stannard (Prim & Pretty)
Michelle Williams (Poppy Bean Bloss)

Jasmine was very gracious in victory - she even posed with Katie & I for a photo- what a sweetie.

Me with my two beautiful neices - Maddison & Alicia - they were the inspiration for the fundraiser after needing humidicribs when they were born.

Maddison & Alicia with mum & dad, Simon & Christine who had to go to Sydney to have their beautiful girls because of a lack of humidicribs in Canberra.

Thanks to my good friend Hilary Wardhaugh for taking photos on the day.

Week 4 Winners and Judges Picks - Congratulations

We'd love to congratulate this weeks winners and judges picks from the past four weeks. It's been a wonderful competition and we have raised some much needed funds for the Mobile Humidicrib for the Newborn Intensive Care Foundation.

I hope you've all had as much fun as we have during the competition. To me all of your babies are winners.

If you haven't received your invitation in the mail all of our contestants (and their friends and family) are invited to our final judging announcement on this Sunday - 6th September at MissChief Maker @ Rodney's Pialligo. We will have face painting for the kids, a sausage sizzle, a raffel with loads of prizes and Nessa the Fairy will be there to entertain the kids. We will be annoucing the winner of Babies in Beanies 2009 and handing over the money raised to the Intensive Care Foundation.

Hoping to see you all there with your beautiful Babies in Beanies!
